MOOD was tasked with bringing Royal Marine, a well-established marine service provider, into the cloud. Our goal was to modernize their digital presence and introduce a new booking experience, integrating both customer engagement and operational efficiency.
The primary challenge was to transition an existing business into a cloud-based infrastructure without disrupting their ongoing operations. We needed to create a robust online platform that not only improved customer interaction but also streamlined internally with their existing systems for service requests and inventory management.
Using NextJS, we built a lightweight and fast-loading website, which was crucial for enhancing user experience and SEO. The design was implemented with Tailwind CSS, enabling us to customize the site's aesthetics while maintaining performance across all devices.
The backend was developed with React and TypeScript, ensuring robustness and scalability. Hosted on Azure Static Web App, this site benefits from high availability and global distribution. We integrated the website with functionality for managing work requests and syncing inventory levels, services, and customer requests directly with MarineMax.
Since the launch of the new website, Royal Marine has seen a significant improvement in customer engagement and operational efficiency. The integration of Shopmonkey with Quickbooks has streamlined their business processes, reducing errors and saving time.
